Hi-Fi repair

we have a small inexpensive stereo system/dvd which has stopped working. It's not worth spending a lot repairing it .....anyone know anywhere cheap and cheerful for repairs?

Oxfam in Ealing sell 2nd hand Hi-Fi. I would assume that they have some repair/checking facility. Maybe worth asking.

Penny, I refer to to my thread of 8-9 Dec. Someone on the forum recommended Fuselodge at 267 Acton Lane W4 tel.0208 994 6275. And now so do I. They mended my old 70s tuner amp for £35 quid within 24 hours. I can't speak too highly of them. Shame it's almost impossible to park outside...

I agree Fuselodge fixed a tv/video for me.  Excellent service and not expensive.

Following the recommendations in this forum, I took my 10 year old Pioneer CD player to Fuselodge.  It had been jumping and refusing to play most of my CD collection.  The charming Sikh proprietor provided a very reasonable quote and fixed it very effectively.The shop is like an escapee from the 1960s - racks of little bins full of condensers, switches and electrical gubbins.The only thing the shop has a problem with, I understand, is Bose equipment, for which spare parts are almost impossible to obtain.
