Re The Council hit the headlines last October after it emerged they had agreed to house an Afghani family there at a cost of £12,458 a month xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and despite the national and local outcry, no action seems to have been taken to re-house this family ( to whom we owe nothing )into more reasonably priced accomodation. That rent per month is what some people earn in a year, and for which they work, not handed to them on a plate. And is much more than a pair of senior citizens get in pension after a lifetime's work. The figure quoted is for the rent alone, they are GIVEN a further £30,000 a year in other benefits. No worry for them in potentially losing their home, job or other security as with indigenous folk. No one will ever convince me of anything other than the gross perverseness and immorality of the situation. Help those in need by all means, but these don't qualify , in my opinion and certainly not way and well over above what " we " would get. Then some wonder why illegal immigrants still pour into this country, which could so easily be solved IF the Govt. really wished to do so by simply not paying any form of benefit to immigrants, legal or otherwise. Frank Field has woken up to the problem and is voicing concern re the % of non indigenous children in our schools. He should examine the Ealing schools where the europeans are outnumbered 3 to 1 as a whole and in some classes, there are none at all. Ealing is going down the pan, as is London in general.
