Little Ealing expansion - prelim plans available to view

If anyone wants to see the preliminary plans for the Little Ealing expansion from 2 to 3 form entry that the Council is currently consulting on, there are drop-ins at the school where the plans are available for viewing from 8.30 - 9.30 am on Tuesday 10th (tomorrow) and Thurs 12th, and Wed 11th from 6.45 - 7.30 pm. A representative from the council will be there for the morning sessions.

Out of interest, where are they finding the space? There's no land around to build on?

Hi Penny,All on the existing site.  The preliminary plans would put two rooms where the current caretaker's house is, demolish the canteen and some grotty outdoor storage to return some space to the playground, and rebuild current Year 6 small block to two storeys - also some more building into the loft area which is extensive.

Ah yes, of course. I went there myself and so did my daughter and I attended the 100 year celebrations and found it really interesting. The headmistress's room was in the attic and I still remember going up there and being given a toffee from her tin. She was scary....Mrs Little ! The smell of the school hadn't changed though ! The centeen was long overdue for demolishing, horrible fifties block I recall ! Grotty even in the 60s !
