Hello,We've just moved into a new flat in Ealing and the landlords allowing us to put wood flooring down..Does anyone know of a very good and reasonably cheap carpenter in the Ealing area? Thank you.

If you are on the first floor or above please make sure that it is suitably dampened for noise as wooden floors can be hell for people living below. In fact in some flats they are not allowed.

Hi Peter,Thanks for advice.We are actually on the ground level but we do have someone below in basement. We've taken it into consideration and of course will not be wearing shoes in the flat.But I don't know anything about "dampening", so any advise on what we need covered would be good? We're looking to have the floor sanded and polished.Charlie
