Hanging Baskets- advice

Now that spring seems to have sprung I am thinking about this year's hanging baskets. Is there any reason why I shouldn't use colanders - as I think they'd look a bit more funky ? I realise I won't be able to have plants hanging from the 'bowl' just out of the top

Good idea Viv. Think they'd look great...they come in good colours now too !  Can't think of any reason why you couldn't use them.

Whatever you use, not yet. they shouldn't be outside till the end of May when all danger of a frost is over.
