Policeman sacked for bing a BNP member

I am puzzled about the action of the Merseyside police,when they apparently can ban someond from belonging to the BNP. This rganosation, and npmatter how odious yiou consider them to be, they are not a proscribed organisation, and are allowed to stand in democratic elections.As I understand the law,any person or organisation preaching racial, religious, hatred, can face prosecution, leading to imprisonment, and either they have not been prosecuted in a court of law, or the government have not got the balls to act  against them.Why can't the New Labour Party under Tony Blair be a banned organisation, along with the BNP, after all he (Tony Blair) took this country to an illegal war in Iraq by lying about WMD's, where many of our sevice people were killed, along with thousands more men women and children who were also killed by us.If you propose to answer or criticise this post, forget the racist inuendo I have heard it all before, and NO I do Not support or belong to the BNP. I just think that a police officer who had a hitherto unblemished record, can be sacked for belonging to a legal organisation. Who knows what will be the next party to be banned. IMO this sacking is a dangerous path to be going down, and how will any tribunal uphold the decision, if as I have said, he belonged to a legal party who stand in democratic elections. I think that if he had demonstrated by his actions, that he has treated ethnic minorites more robustly or inappropriately than others, surely this would have been picked up by his senior officers, or his collegues even, they also have reams of paperwork to fill in to justify any action he takes. Along with this, there is always a complaints procedure. One man has just been awarded £60,000 for alleged racial abuse and injuries sustained while in custody.

IMO this sacking is a dangerous path to be going down, and how will any tribunal uphold the decision          xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx        as I said in another thread re this, the accusers of nazi behaviour are more nazi than the alleged nazis themselves but in these lefty inspired PC days, the commies et al can get away with anything. But it a most serious business and makes a mockery of our supposed democratic status. Who and what is behind this disease, one which should be challenged rooted and booted out. I am all for those involved being publicly named and shamed, for the damage they do.

I thought I should have a look at the BNP website and I've only so far read the articles on the British Empire and Slavery, both of which I'm very comfortable about.I can see that it's a party that will attract an undesirable aliment of our society, purely by its reputation,but so far I've yet to read anything I could disagree with and I don't see why being a member of the BNP is a sackable offence.I'm going to keep an open mind about this but it's up to you to 'dissuade' me from voting BNP next time round and if you do take the challenge, keep it short, I 'never' read long winded forum waflings.

Sky News reported yesterday, Sunday, that the Sri Lankan born postmaster who refused to serve non-English speakers has been forced to move to another office.I wonder which way he'll vote?This country seems hell-bent on social non-cohesiveness, it being easier to "rule" over fragmentation.

In the 60's a conservative MP Mr Enoch Powell  stated that immigration levels at that time would cause "Rivers of blood" to flow on our streets. Would any police officer then be fired from his job for belonging to the Conservative Party?Banning legitimate party's, as I have said would be akin to what happened in Nazi Germany in the 30's. By banning them they will go underground, and then all hell would break loose. In our so called democracy, instead of anout right ban, would it,considering that we are supposed to live in an equal society, confront it, argue it, and discuss it. The police have far too much power now, and very soon one should not be surprised if future police officers are "given advice" on who to vote for......the way this country is heading I think that the day is not too far off!

As I understand it, it is stipulated in the terms of employment of every Policeman and Policewoman in the land that they may not join the BNP. Therefore, even though the BNP is a legal organisation, and harsh as the sacking may seem on the surface, I don't think it can be claimed to be entirely unjustified.

No-one in " authority " has the guts to stand up and oppose the rule. We live in a police state where anything nationalist  or right wing is condemned and opposed. At whose behest. I doubt the PC walleys realise they are doing the work of leftie commies and international ones at that. The reason why commie tragedies, which vastly outweigh anything done by " nazis ", real or alleged is because the leftie commies are in the teaching profession, poisoning the minds of the young, when they are most vulnerable. Stalin murdered 30 million, Mao 70 million but only the Nazis and Hitler get used as name calls, as seen regularly on these Forums.

er... I'm not quite sure what prompted that unprovoked attack.  I am assuming that when you say you don't support the BNP there is some reason for that stance. Perhaps reading why someone like you doesn't support the BNP might have proved illuminating in this case.Your searching out of old posts of mine hints at paranoia.  The fact that you could find nothing more incriminating than an idle post about ants must have been disappointing to you.  What would have been the correct, non-"luvvie" thing to write about insects?

Why don't you support the BNP, Andrew?Sarcasm or a genuine question, there are many reasons that I don't support ANY political party especially the Liberals. Your latest response below and it's badly hidden inuendo may go some way to explain why I responded in the way that I did. If you can't stand the heat......."Perhaps reading why someone like you doesn't support the BNP might have proved illuminating in this case." I have never heard either you or anyone else, who and why they support this or that party.Searching out old posts is something I learned from a certain Tony Woods who wanted to show us what a clever cookie he was......so I thought sod! it, sauce for the goose etcAs regards the little insects, spray the bloody things with ant powder, you don't need a degee in Physics to work it out....that's the non-luvvie way to go about it!

It was meant as a genuine question.  Do you want me to use smiley icons or some other godawful thing to show that I was not being sarcastic?  Since I am not yet on your list of political undesirables, I don't see why you couldn't take the question at face value.The point I was trying to make is that if you as someone of a relatively right wing persuasion (is that fair?) cannot support the BNP there must be good reason.  I was wondering if there were things you find objectionable about them might that suggest why it might be inapropriate for the police to have their supporters in their midst. From your last answer I see that it is not their policies you object to, just the fact that they have collected themselves into a political party.As for searching for old posts, it is only clever if you find something embarrassing or contradictory.  Thanks for the advice on pest control though!

But the right to join a trade union doesn’t include police officers, soldiers and some other groups who work for the Government.Article 11 also guarantees the right not to have to join a union.Here is the rub, You may think you have rights under the Act, but if it is a "Qualified" right it can be manipulated to suit the situation! You may notice that it GUARANTEES the right not to join a trade union, but only PROTECTS the right to join a political party, in other words Human Rights can be, and are manipulated, just as the 1976 Race Relations Act is, to justify ethnic "quotas" in particular jobs.Article 11 is a ‘qualified’ right. This means that the Government or a public authority may be allowed torestrict or interfere with the right in certain circumstances, Meaning; only if it suits us, then we will uphold it.....some protection there then?Question?If the police are not allowed to join any political party because they should be treating everyone equally, then why are they allowed to form political organisations at all, like the Black and Gay Police Associations? Will these members not potentially act in the same manner as allegedly as a member of the BNP?  No takers to answer this question of an equality of treatment.....come on luvvies!
