Nice one (or 3)

Just looked at my bank statement and I've finally got my winter fuel allowance (£250), mind you if I'd needed it, I would be dead from the cold. £80.00 returned from a company in Germany to whom I'd returned some goods which I'd incorrectly ordered. And a £1 bet on the winner of the Grand National at 66/1 (I know at the time of the race it was 100/1 but that's how it goes), my only indulgence in horse racing each year. I shall wait until tomorrow to check my single Lotto ticket, mustn't have too much excitement in one day.

Not bad Alan, not bad. Dawn chorus is a bit noisy though, perhaps that's why everybody goes to bed early, here in the countryside.Haven't checked the lotto yet. Sent Linda off to church to try and broker a deal with His Lordship. I might give Him (why is it Him, why not Her. I digress) a chance next Wednesday (and Friday). Actually if He does sees me alright Wednesday, I can get out of a 12 mile sponsorship walk on Saturday, which Linda and I are doing to raise funds for the church toilet (how good is that going to look on a CV?).

How much does it cost to get a bucket repaired down there?I ask because the facilities at a church in Herefordshire were most rudimentary.
