momento restaurant

I haven't posted here before and am not sure if this will get the usual W4 cynical response, but if so, well so be it. We went off to Momento ( Northfields Av) last night for dinner.... never been before and I wanted to post here to say it was really really lovely. The food was fab. My partner reckons it must have been prepared by someone who loves what they do. The ingredients were fresh and the flavours very fine. The portions would have stopped a truckie. The service was friendly and attentive without being the least bit intrusive.The house wine was pretty awful so we sent the glass back in exchange for a bottle of sav blanc which was just fine.All up a tasty affordable dinner out. We will definitely be back!No we are not connected to the place in any way.

We really like it too,it's our local. Wine is a bit hit and miss and they used to serve the white wine warm but that seems to have been sorted out now. We've had several good meals in there, both pizzas and others and all have been good. Glad it's till there..hope it lasts

We've been going there fairly often since it opened and it's always been good, especially the pizzas and although the staff have changed a lot they've always been very nice. We generally have a glass each of the house red and the house white and have had no complaints there either....

Think we'll give it a go then as fancied Italian this Bank Holiday weekend - and its nice to try somewhere I haven't been to before. Have been to Dante - nice food, miserable owner and poor atmosphere, Gino's - nice food, friendly staff but little atmosphere and quite expensive, Portico - again nice food but only ever had lunch there so difficult to judge atmosphere.

Definitely the best pizzas in Northfields at present! Shame they are open only for dinner and they are closed on Sundays. Even worst they don't do deliveries!! :o(

Valentina, For deliveries, try La Cantina (Bond Street - 8566 4141 - www.lacantina-ealing.co.uk, although it doesn't have its menu up on the site yet). It is also wood-fired and almost as good as Momento.
