Is there a good website/forum with advice on moving family out of London to Bucks/Surrey area?

Hi, My wife and I and 2 kids are thinking of moving out of this area to somewhere quieter with better schools probably West of London, Bucks area but possibly south towards Surrey.However we really know very little about those areas and were wondering if other people who had gone through or are going through this process had found a useful website/forum which might help to narrow down the options, ie with advice on schools & property prices & transport links to London etc?Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi.We have been through the same process and hopefully will be exchanging on our sale and purchase next week. We bought a book called "commuterland" which covers areas 1 hours commute from London and covers schools, general areas and property prices etc. You can't beat actually visiting the places though. The Good Schools Guide can help you with all this. www.goodschoolsguide.co.uk. They have an advisory service which has a fee but is well worth while.
