Off the beaten track places in Ealing

Off the beaten track places in Ealing...by this I mean those roads and alleyways which unless one has a reason to be there or one lives near no-one else knows about.Some of which I am aware are:Haven Place - running alongside Arcadia Centre to Ealing Broadway station with four "cottages2 on it.Park Place/Kerrison Place: a crescent off "The Park" with what are now "bijou" properties. Grange Park (a road) is pretty impressive too.Any more?

How about this?  A quiet backwater that looks like a lane between two country estates.  It's in Ealing and in W5.  Where is it?

Regarding Richard's picture, over the wall to the left is Clayponds Gardens, Brentford (Brentford Ward) although I believe the postcode is W5.  Is that correct?And over the right side wall is the Old Brentford Cemetery..I believe. No books with me tonight!

Yes, Clayponds Gardens is one of the few parts of the London Borough of Hounslow that is in W5.The cemetery was Ealing and Old Brentford Cemetery, dating from 1861, now called South Ealing Cemetery.

The cemetery was in a fairly central positon bearing in mind that Old Brentford was part of Ealing parish. Church Way, now Clayponds Lane, extended all the way to the satellite church of St.Georges from old St.Mary`s Ealing.

I think the Almshouses near Grange School might qualify for off the beaten track, also the little row of cottages near the New Inn pub just off St Mary's Road. Love the area around The Park which you mentioned alan, just couldn't afford to live there.

What about the track that runs along the east side of the Northfields allotments from Mattock Lane to Occupation Road? On a nice day it's really pleasant - if you can dodge the nettles!
