Some news on the cinema
I received a reply from Empire to my recent email this morning; text as follows:Susan,Thank you for your email.Due to advances in cinema technology, especially in digital only projection, we have been redesigning the internal layout of the cinema to take advantage of the space saving that the new technologies offer us.This allows us to utilise the space and make the auditoriums either larger or more of them.As the internal layout has not yet been finalised, we have been unable to start building the new cinema because the layout of the structural steels has to line up with the auditorium configuration so that there are no columns in the auditorium space.We hope to have the internal layout finalised shortly and will begin building as soon as is practicable.Rest assured that it is definitely going to be built and is definitely going to be a cinema as intended.Regards
