You know this sort of comment really is so unattractive. I clicked in from my email hoping that a friendly Ealing parent would be suggesting a line of enquiry and instead a get a snidey remark from someone who plainly hates women working and does not understand children.For your information David, mum and dad both work and pay taxes to contribute to your healthcare, policing, pension and roads. Our children will pay taxes to keep you when you are old and frail. Mum has given up most of her career for the last 11 years to look after the children. No-one has ever minded our children David, overnight or afterschool, other than the occasional club or visit to a friend. Funnily enough Mum would like to continue to work from home during school hours earning a crust, rather than sit in a library in Slough achieving nothing for her family. Mum would also like to walk her other child, a six-year-old, to school and back in Ealing and not leave him in an after-school club. The eleven-year-old, who has been attacked on the bus by other school children, with his dad present and able to prevent the attack thank god (the other children had not known he was there chaperoning, because that would have looked uncool and made him even more vulnerable wouldn't it David?) would really like not to be tied to mum or dad's apron strings publicly.So please, Ealing parents, do let me know if you have any ideas -- I'd be really grateful.
