Where do i put my car???

some signs have just gone up all along Elers Rd telling us there will be no parking all week from 7 Oct, for highway maintenance.1. i'm glad the councuil are taking care of our streets and 2. i shall look forward to seeing elers rd as it was 13 years ago, with nary a car in sight, before parking was banned on Disraeli and Sunnyside, but..where the flaming heck are we supposed to put our cars for a week given that we are surrounded by CPZs on four sides?maybe the council will supply a field in Bucks and a bus service to bring us back.

Surely they can grant you temp. permission to park in the surrounding CPZ?

You could use those free parking vouchers the council gave out earlier this year alongside with the helpful parking booklet.

I think the "free" parking vouchers come as part of the deal when you agree to a CPZ in your area.

I live on Carew Road and they are resurfacing Kingsdowne at the moment, and we have been discussing what will happen when they do Elers. Given that Culmington / Elers and Carew are considered by many as Ealing's free car park, it will be crazy. I've already had to put signs on 2 people's cars this week asking them to be considerate in their parking and I sent an email to the council today asking them to send a traffic warden up the road from time to time...simply to ticket the worst offenders (it seems that traffic wardens only seem to patrol CPZs these days...).Anyway, in answer to your question - bad news - I expect you will find it really difficult as you will be fighting for spaces with Carew residents and all the day time free parkers.Have you tried asking our (usually quite responsive) council what they suggest?!I never thought I'd utter the words...but "come on CPZ, where are you?"!

i rang the council and they said i'll just have to find somewhere else to put it. they suggested "Carew, Kingsdown or leybourne as there's no CPZ there". Hahahahahahaha...HAHAHAHAHAHA.............And all the people on Elers whose cars are parked on their paved-over front gardens will need to move their cars too as they won't be able to get in or out for the week.I'll have to sneak out Tuesday night and park on Culmington, and leave it there without going anywhere by car for the week.
