New Restaurant -

http://www.fogo.uk.com/ Going into what used to be Bella Pasta (urgh!!) at the top of Hamilton Road. Looks good, but then it can't be any worse than an "Italian" restaurant that sells Italian Burgers and Italian spicy chicken wings....very authentic

Good news, really disliked Bella Pasta even though I never ate in there - just the concept I guess.Talking of new Italians I was driving down Bond Street (in Ealing Broadway!) the other week and I am sure I saw a unit being fitted out to be an Italian restaurant or possibly deli - anyone seen it?

I liked the place when it was Mamma Almalfi but agree the Bella Pasta was awful.Other than the 'excellent for the price' Silom Village I really don't rate Ealing Town Centre for eating out. All the good places seem to be over on the South Ealing Road or Northfields. My neck of the woods (The Common and the little bit of West Acton that pretends to be Ealing) is a void for eating out.

Yes tend to agree, nowhere of any real distinction in EB apart from Silon village and Monty's although I have never eaten in that Monty's, only the one in Northfields Avenue.

West Ealing was always quite good. Agree that EB is just for Drinking

Mamma Amalfi was very nice - was really gutted when it was replaced by Bella Pasta. Have to agree on the restaurants. For a town with such a large population, you would think that would be more restaurants and certainly some of better quality.

I even draw the line at drinking in EB now :(Having a pint in the North Star is like drinking on the set of Bugsy Malone and after an encouraging start I've decided I don't like the Kings Arms. The Red Lion, Grange Tavern and the Haven Arms are good but hardly central.

Any more information about the potential new Italian deli / restaurant. Have been away on holiday and not down Bond Street for a while. Whereabouts is the new unit?
