Apart from the place in Daniels - does anyone know of a good haberdashers in the 'hood? I need a retro button for a '70s coat and don't want to drag myself into town just for that.

Hi Viv..don't know any haberdashers but you could try Sarah Baulch from Revampt (www.revampit.co.uk). She makes new things out of old, so may have some buttons going.

What about the shop next to the Cudi supermarket along the Uxbridge Rd - they may sell buttons and things inside - they sell curtaining etc

Have you tried the local charity shops? Reason for asking is that my mum wanted some buttons for my niece and she went into her local charity shop and they had loads of them. It may wind up being cheaper in the long run as well as buttons can be expensive.
