Carpets

I think this has been asked before but we need a new carpet for the stairs and landing. We used CarpetRite before and they were terrible and we went to John Lewis and they didn't have much choice. Any suggestions for good retailers in the area? Thanks

a carpet shop in northfield av i cant remember its name but across the rd from tesco . excellent service

Daniels do carpets, not sure on the choice but they have a good reputation I believe.

Daniels is good. We just bought a carpet from them and they fitted it. Good value and quick service.(It sticks in the troat a bit to use Daniels. This is because the  Daniels family misled us all about its intentions on creating a new Department Store in its new block of flats. However maybe the bigger miscreant was Ealing Council in  'blindly' co-operating in the scam.)

Thanks all. The shop opp. Tesco never seems to be open but I will keep trying. Also, hadn't thought of Daniels but wil have a look. Any used Carpet King in Little Ealing Lane...opp. The Plough? Any good?

Penny,I have used Carpet Class on South Ealing Road for years.  Good range.  Good value.  Good advice.  Nice people.

I bought my bedroom carpet from Carpet King at the bottom of Northfield ave/Little Ealing Lane (near The Plough). It's only a small shop, but they have a fairly good choice and were able to pop round to have a look at my room for fitting. I'm going to buy my lounge carpet from them in the new year.

I know that suggesting a Chiswick retailer risks one of those W13 vs. W4/W7 inverse snobbery responses, but we used RH Carpets in Chiswickhttp://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=RH+carpet+chiswick&meta=&aq=f&oq=as we found they had a wider choice than local places and we wanted specific things like stair runners.  It's a small local shop (just not local to here :-) ) and very professional.  I think we went there because the assistants at Carpetrite (or whatever it's called) on the A4 pointed us to it as the best specialist place in the area, when we went in asking for runners etc. which they couldn't do themselves.
