Bullying at work

I recently witnessed a duty manager in a South Ealing Rd supermarket shouting very unpleasant abuse at a member of staff in front of, and again within earshot of, customers. As I carried out my orange carrier bags I fretted over whether this was a one off or if there is a wider problem at this branch or chain. Has anyone witnessed similar?

I can conclude that no-one else has witnessed this kind of thing at Sainsbury's South Ealing Rd. Good; hopefully this means the incident I saw was just a one-off. I can continue to shop there with a clear conscience.

You should have gone to their head office and complained, I am sure the would take the matter very seriously. I shop at the West Ealing one - lovely staff and never heard a cross word by anyone 'in authority'.

I did, the very next day. The store manager called me to apologise.
