'Aid For Haiti' Descendants and Acton groups and residents come together.

Aid For Haiti which will be held on Saturday 30th January 2010.  It is free to attend, we will be selling unwanted gifts and other items.  Food will be on sale, we will have performances from the community... All proceeds from the event will be sent to Haiti.  We have already Collected £119.64 pence, from our stall in Acton Market last Saturday which is a good amount as the weather was very poor.  We are doing it again this Saturday, and we intend to make at least double the amount of money for Haiti. If you can support us in anyway, it would be great to see you, this is a very worthy cause.  I guess many of you have already donated, but if you can spare your time please come along.  We are being supported by local schools, the local police, Priory community Centre, and most importantly, local people. Descendants is based at the Priory Centre in Acton.There is a lot more information about this on the Calendar on the Acton W3 website.Seems like a useful way to get rid of those unwanted Christmas presents and to do a bit of de-cluttering for a really good cause.

Hi Andy and Fiona, sorry for the delay in replying to you. 'Aid For Haiti' URGENT,URGENT,URGENT The Grand total so far for the Aid for Haiti appeal is £350.16 pence. We Aim to raise at least £1,000 plus at our Fundraising evening this coming Saturday 30th January 2010. Please support this evening. Thank you in advance. We are asking for donations of unwanted gifts, good clothes.  We are also accepting tins of food,e.g tins of soup.  The evening will have community groups performing, singing dancing,poetry.  All proceeds will be sent to Haiti.  We have had a wonderful response from the local community, the local community police,action Acton, Priory community Centre, just to name a few. Aid for Haiti Tonight Saturday 30th January 2010The Mayor of Ealing will be attending Tonight.Hello everyone Tonight is the night we try to raise as much money as possible to send to the people of Haiti. The community of Acton have come together to show support to the people of Haiti.
