Loft Conversions

We are planning a loft conversion.  We're interested in members' experiences - good or bad - of loft conversion companies.  The posts on the website about this are several years old, so I'm starting a new thread.  We're particularly interested in experiences people have of Top Flight and Scott Macabe Associates.  But we're also interested in any other companies that members have used.  Many thanks in advance.

Try firmingers as i have heard from a carpenter who has fitted out bathrooms that they are very good at that. The also did our roof. A freind who used top flight found they took twice as long as promised and would just turn up when they felt like it. i know there has been another thread on this before where top flight had a mention.

I had my loft conversion done in November 2008 by The Hindle Partnership.  Richard Hindle is brilliant; he only works on one job at a time and has a small dedicated team working alongside him. The only slight downside is a lack of detail on his quotes that some individuals would possibly find irksome but he came in on time and in budget. McCabe worked out well for me. Would recommend them - the tradespeople were of a decent standard and communication was good. No big issues and they came back quickly to fix a couple of very minor snags.Would advise you to look at some conversions and ask detailed questions about exactly what the company will do. e.g. some will handle planning / building control, some won't, some are better at making good your first floor landing than others etc ... Make sure you compare like with like on pricing.
