Green Man Lane Plans - Public Meeting 24 March
West Ealing Neighbours has organised a public meeting to discuss the Green Man Lane Estate (GMLE) demolition and building plans submitted by builders Rydon and property developers and managers A2Dominion.The meeting will take place at the Ealing Centre for Independent Living 1, Bayham Road (corner with Bedford Road) on Wednesday 24th March, 2010 starting at 7:30pm.Details of the plans (P/2010/0418 and P/2010/0419 ) can be viewed in Room 58, ground floor in Perceval House (next door to Ealing Town Hall); on the 'News' Page on this web site; and sometimes at www.ealing.gov.uk.Hightlights of the plans include:+ Increase from 464 homes to 721 homes+ At a total cost of £137 milion that's a cost over £500,000 for each of the 257 additional homes+ no new or expanded St John's Primary School+ 11.5 acres of public land sold off to the private sector+ 1,200 additional residents - and 2,000 in total+ No new healthcare, education or police station+ Separate gated communties for private, shared ownership and rented homes+ Likely increase in 'road rage' on Endsleigh and Feix Roads as two new roads will deliver more cars from across the site onto these congested roads.Everyone is invited to attend.
