Footballers get paid exhorbitant sums becausea) their career ends at 35, and only a few get to move into management/punditryb) football as a business makes an awful lot of money, and like anyone in any similarly well-financed industry such as Hollywood directors/actors or business owners, the money made from their talent will be paid back to them. c) Not all footballers make huge sums of money, just as not all bank staff will be paid what Sir Fred Goodwin was, or not all doctors will be paid what a Harley St cosmetic surgeon will be.If you want to protest, then don't watch the game, don't pay for subscriptions to Sky, and boycott the products endorsed by players. Nobody is forcing you to contribute to the wages of footballers. And there's nothing wrong with a man wearing make-up if he so chooses!
