Down "Bristolian"

For those interested the down (London to Bristol) steam-hauled train "The Bristolian" will ne passing through the borough of Ealing between about 11.40 a#(Acton) and 11:46 this morning.Heathens read no further.Loco: GWR Castle Class 4-6-0 no 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe Rake: GUV + 7 coaches.There is also an Up Bristolian but I haven't found the timimgs.

Just seen it an Hanwell. lovely smell!!!

I went to West Drayton Station as there is a splendid view each side as the station is on a gentle curve.Nice smell and a different sound because of welded track.Shame about the Pullman cars but at least they are brown and cream. The leading car was a General Utility Van (GUV) specially modified to carry water as the trip to Bristol is hopefully non-stop.
