Palestine Meeting in Ealing
I received an email today telling me about an all-candidates meeting arranged in Ealing for this weekend by a group calling itself the West London PSC (Palestine Solidarity Campaign). They have billed the meeting as dealing with "one of the world's most intractable foreign policy issues". Three guesses about which issue they are dealing with.Four parlimentary candidates have been invited, and the group's posting comments "...it is expected to be a lively meeting. The debate will be followed by questions and comments from the audience."It's unfortunate that the facilities of this website are used to publicize such a blatantly one-sided meeting. The ACM has been arranged to take place on the Jewish sabbath, and some might see this as a deliberate attempt to skew the audience and to discourage the expression of pro-Israel opinion or questions. Certainly it will prevent a number of people from attending a meeting on an issue that is very close to them, and any publicity resulting from opinions expressed at this forum will need to be taken with a diet-busting amount of salt.
