Pitshanger lane .........CRAZY BUS STOP

Pitshanger Lane Bus stop.It's sticking out from the pavement and is in the road.Causeing traffic behind it and traffic comeing from the other side which is giveing way to people who want to overtake the bus.If they can make parking bays for people to park which are set back , what's the reasoning for busses to be stuck out like that?Any thought's ?

Possibly to keep them in the traffic flow so they don't have to be "let out". Buses don't generally dwell for more than a few seconds at bus stops, whereas other vehicles can be parked for hours.

Quite so. AND of course, if the design opportunity is taken, provide a waiting area for bus passengers clear of the main footway (pavement in lay terms) run so pedestrians don't have to humbly crave permission of waiting pasengers to pass through and proceed on their way -  as happens at so many bus stops on narrow footways in Ealing and elsewhere.

The pavement on the north side (liberary side) are massive.Unless we have been invaded by the land of the giants(what a great show that was)i believe that there is enough space for the bus stop to be set back and enough space for the shoppers.All this has done is cause traffic and polluation.
