Labour to Control Ealing Council

What a blow! - things were only just starting to come right in the borough and now we will be going backwards!! - higher taxes, less service, more people employed to do nothing! - time to sell and move from this area - the shopping is awful with all the cheap shops and now tings will just get worse - Southall, Greenford and Acton should not be part of this middleclass enlgish suburb!

"Southall, Greenford and Acton should not be part of this middleclass english suburb!"Wouldn't it be an ideal opportunity to split all the London boroughs back to how they were before 1964?Think of all the jobs it would create, more town clerks and other executives, managers, jobsworths, hundreds of 'em! A Socialist's paradise!

Labour will be a very expensive choice, not too long ago they increased local rates by 27% in one jump alone and I can remember either in the 70s or 80's they did so at an unbelievable 66%, yes sixty six per cent jump in ONE year  . We can't afford them, given full rein they will bust us all, businesses as well. And maybe we should go back  to even further times when apparently only rate payers had the vote. As there are so many living now off the backs and labours of others, a return to such a system might return a little morality to welfare and government issues. Ealing Central and a few chosen environs should stand alone in a sea of multi-cultural " bliss ".    .

Re  which gentlemens' clubs have you been in to hear such talk      ccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccpppp        seems Alan as though we hace picked up one like him from Sathall, but the scenario of the way things have deteriorated / club reminds me of the Kenneth Williams sketch in which he plays the part of this dear old dowager sat in some posh hotel which has seen better days and she complains how it has " gawn awf " and this aged butler shuffles up with drink on silver tray and white cloth draped over his forearm, turns and bends over to place on side table  with back to her and lets out this almighty fart and the old girl says " see what I mean ".

It's actually a fact and not an illusion.But Ealing isn't inhabited totally by English. By elimination of Irish, Scots, Welsh, Commonwealth citizens, non-Commonwealth citizens, EU citizens, illegals, asylum seekers, I don't think there would be that many English left.Even if one were to extend the scope, from English only, to include British I doubt it would be much of a majority if at all.

You are obsessed with that as you are with Hitler, something Freudian lurking there somewhere? Akin to an old Deutch Gramophon record, stuck in the grove.
