What a shambles!

If an alien arrived on this planet right now he/she/it would surely wonder what on earth was going on with the parlimentary system of this country!Let me see now: The party who came 3rd is trying to do a deal with the party with the most votes, but in the meantime clandestinely negotiating with the party who came 2nd in order to stop the overall winner from ever leading the country.In fact the total stitch-up is that the party who came 3rd and the party who came second would love to have an alliance to stop the party who had the most votes from ever taking power.What a shoddy business and I am sorry but if people were turned off by politicians in the past this sure is no way to inspire confidence or trust!It makes one wonder why we had an election in the first place. The only thing some MP's appear to be concerned about is themselves. No concern for the country and the current financial situation in which we find ourselves. Surely that is more important?If one thought the expenses scandal was bad enough, my goodness the antics of the last few days is even worse.Heaven help us! Democracy - don't make me laugh!

And how much easier it could have been if we had had no border controls and several amnesties!Now we know what the next Labour government has to do as this one failed so miserably as so many of their policies have.

Had it been, you would not have known about it. There was no overall winner. You are aware a party needs a certain number of seats to win a parliamentary election? That number was not reached.

Thank goodness the whole shoddy business is over and done with. It was only when the Liberal Democrats decided that it was in their best interest to have an alliance with the Conservatives because the Labour Party were apparently unwilling, or unable to give them everything they wanted.I guess the main 'movers and shakers' in the Labour Party are not that popular with their colleagues after the whole fiasco and the way it was conducted.Gordon Brown was sacrificed for nothing it would seem.By the way I am perfectly aware of the amount of votes needed to form a majority.
