Does anyone think that the pavement outside Persian Palace is getting dirtier and greasier every day? I am sure they have been fined for leaving rubbish out and other offences. Most of the dirt and grease appears to be coming from the path to the side of the restaurant where I believe there are a number of studio dwellings to the rear. Does anyone know anthing about them and whether or not Persian Palace have obtained planning permission as well as the impact of increased waste on the pavement? A potential health hazard for one, as well as an added risk for mice and rat infestations.

I bet the condition of the pavement puts you off, Diane.I do have to point out that Merci, what used to be called Food Station, which is only a couple of doors down does not have the same greasy, dirty pavement that Persian Palace does. Perhaps there is truth in the rumour that there are illegally built dwellings behind Persian Palace? Can anyone clarify this?

There seems to be no curb regarding such shops which are an eyesore and spill way beyond the shop fronts.There are several in Greenford especially vegetable stalls which create all kids of litter and pallets on the walkway and stay open all night.Then there are the tacky 'plastic' pound type shops with horrible plastic goods stacked high outside across the pavements....these bring the area down especially as there have been improvements with paving reconstruction..however this has given the shops even more space to spread out their goods....

With respect to shops' wares spreading over the footpaths it is a pity that the boundary between council and private land isn't clearly defined by either studs, a painted line, or whatever.There are two shops in West Ealing which are blocking the footpaths but nothing appears to be done. Amazingly I don't blame the Council. Instead I blame the department whose responsibility it is, whatever that department may be.

All shops and restaurants in Ealing have to buy white bags to put their rubbish in. They will then be collected 7 days a week by the counsel. However many restaurants and shops chose not to use this service leaving standard black bags out that get taken by the counsel anyway and are not reported by the street cleaners who take them.As for the greasy floor outside Persian palace I’m sorry to say you should report them. They have been done at least once now for not disposing of their rubbish correctly. As for smell i have not noticed it there but the new fish shop and sams chicken across the road from Iceland REAK TO HIGH HEAVEN! Rotting fish and festering old oil is not good. And i am sure that the foxes are drawn to this rather than general household rubbish. The council needs to step up and sort it out!
