I know there's a credit cruch but ......

There's a chippie in West Ealing which offers "Sausage & Chips" "Fish & Chips"  & ...... interestingly "Senior Citizen, Fish & Chips" ..... mind you those OAPs can be a bit chewy I find, if they're not cooked with care...

Viv, I find that if you cook a senior citizen very slowly and baste often, they can become quite tender and with a lot of flavour.  Absolute hell getting them into the casserole dish, mind you.Serve with fresh veg.

You could always wrap them in foil and cook them very slowly in a clay oven - they will be very tender then.
