Ealing Post Office

I don't think the guys at WH Smith realise what they have let themselves in for! Have just spent half an hour in the queue. Staff are rude and spend most of their time faffing about and not serving. On two occasions while waiting people appeared to jump the queue and to my amazement they were served immediately (however there may be a legitimate reason for their apparent queue jumping but it wasn't apparent to me). Instead of closing tills when the queue is out of the door they should get everyone open and get the queue down quickly. Then I would go back to work happy instead of feeling that I have lost the will to live! OK Rant over

Sounds like you were already in WH Smith!Only kidding.  Smiths is a fine establishment.  That was one of the issues about the PO, the longer the queue the less people serving...

Same thing with banks as well. Have you ever noticed that most customer service places tend to close desks down at lunchtime, generally the busiest time of the day?We will have to wait and see what happens with the post office in Smiths, either that or get what you want online (exceptions of parcels etc).

I was at the farmers' market in West Ealing on Saturday morning and was surprised to find a little post office hidden away down Leeland Rd. One man sitting there at his post, not a customer in sight! I hastily stocked up on stamps.

There is normally a queue out of the door at the Leeland Road post office but you got there at a good time as Saturday morning is often quiet at this branch. The husband and wife who run it are always very helpful and patient.

Its location is not a state secret and its been there a while.  There is another one on Uxbridge Road opp Tesco.It can get REALLY busy in the Leeland Road office, the queue sometimes going right round the shop.  But the staff are THE BEST!

Agree the post office on Leeland Road is brill, lovely people.  There is an empty shop next to WH Smiths, I wondered if they wre going to expand into there to make way for the move of the PO??!!!

That'll be the waiting area!  I thought the PO was going at the back of Smiths or maybe upstairs?  Don't know for sure as I tried to avoid the main one in Ealing Broadway, life's seems a bit short sometimes!
