Locally sourced food eg allotment surplus

I am a freelance journalist doing some research for an article and am trying to find out about the range of foodstuffs that can be sourced in the borough. If you give away (or sell) surplus produce from your allotment, keep chickens (or even a goat!) in your back garden, I would be interested to hear from you. There is the farm shop at Osterley Park that sells produce grown there.It is not open as often as it used to though.Good luck.

Hi Tom you sent me a message on my blog and I responded so hope you got it? Our next campaign will be dropping leaflets around a number or streets just off Northfields Avenue specifically asking if they have fruit trees with potentially an Abundance of fruit so we can arrange picking parties.  I will be contacting all those that have expressed an interest in volunteering for the leaflet dropping as well as the picking parties.Cheers

Hi Caroline we source all our produce locally from a variety of sources, including allotments, private gardens as well as the public realm.  You would be amazed what is in West Ealing, Ealing and Hanwell!We make jams, chutneys and cordials and all the proceeds of the sales are ploughed back into the West Ealing Abundance project.  Let me know if you require further information.
