Primary Schools Starting Late

I can see that there has been an increased demand for primary school places in Ealing wards from the news item about overruns in building work. This is before any of the 14000 new homes along the Uxbridge Road corridor are built over the next 15 years. I am a simple man so I find it difficult to see where the council plans to teach all these children from these new homes. None of the plans I have seen for the massive Dickens Yard site or the Green Man Lane site have any extra school provision planned either within or outside these sites. Maybe the councillors who passed these plans know. Well they haven't told us. Maybe it is the officers on very large salaries who should be telling the councillors where these children will be educated who in turn should be telling us. You will have a chance to decide how competent these "planners" are when they are open to public scrutiny at a Planning Framework Consultation Meeting on  Tues 21 Sept Ealing Town Hall 7:00pm. If West Ealing is typical of the whole of Ealing then there are real concerns about future school places.We'll soon have 870 children attending Fielding Primary School, which surely can not be sensibly expanded any more. St John's Primary School has large portacabins stacked on top of each other masquerading as classrooms. There is no spatial scope for expansion of Drayton Green Primary School.

No schools for the children in the new homes, nowhere to park the cars from the new homes, not much room on the streets of ealing to drive thier cars. There have been so many blocks of flats built in the last 10yrs. It's obvious to everyone, apart from the council, that ealing is already over populated. Flats above wikinsons/woolworths; Flats at old waitrose site;  2 blocks of flats opp west ealing station/the AvenueFlats above DanielsFlats at the Lido opp Dean gdnsFlats beside Northfield stationFlats at old petrol Garage on Northfields.Flats above shops uxbridge road befor Daniels; That's in the last 10yrs. I'm sure there's some i missed?, and thats just west ealing, when's it going to end? What impact will all this have on the community?

There is a consultation rattling around about travel to school plans. When these 14000 new homes are built even primary school children will have to travel because no nearby schools are planned. Nursery and other children in a family mean that parents have to organise up to three to and fro trips every day. OK if nearby but chaos at a distance. Regeneration Team please respond.
