Virgin Media - Poor Service

I was a Telewest customer for many years and never had a problem with the service I received. After Telewest were taken over by Virgin Media I have noticed a rapid decline in services and customer service. Has anyone else had a problem with them?

No problem with the service, only with the regular above-inflation price hikes.Anyone tried BT Vision, if that's what it's called? Looks to be a lot cheaper.

If you're on Virgin Media's standard rates and find what looks like a cheaper offer, it's worth phoning VM and threatening to move.  They'll put you through to the retentions team, and there's a good chance you'll get a better package deal.

Charles, BT Vision claim that they offer more catch-up and on-demand TV than Virgin do. How do you find that? Virgin have most programmes from all BBC, ITV and Ch4 channels available to view for a week.

I have to say that it is the actual service that you receive from Virgin that is the problem not the actual packages they provide. I do find them quite competative with Sky and BT Vision which is the reason why I have remained with them instead of changing.

Well, I've been with Virgin (or its predecessors) for well over ten years and am generally happy with the service, but they keep putting the prices up and I worry that they see me as a milch cow who won't move however badly they treat me.Now that I have a Freeview HDD recorder, the only cable channels I need are FX and Sky1 and I find myself wondering if they can possibly be worth £30 a month; it'd be cheaper, surely, to buy the DVDs of, say, Dexter and House.
