Ealing grit situation?

Just been reading this article from the BBC News site on Sutton Council's preparations for what could be another harsh winter similar to the series of harsh winters we had around the time of WWII (and no, I'm not old enough to remember them!):http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-11534622I wonder if Ealing Council have similar contingency plans?

Surely you must mean the Ealing Git Situation. Ealing is run by a bunch of useless gits who have in the past spent the bad weather contingency budget on cleaning up after the Mela and other festivsls which is why bad weather hits Ealing bad.

Expect no preparation in Ealing in this area the money has probably already been sent on some politically-correct cause rather than on the average resident. My suggestion is: buy snowshoes!
