FIRE COVER

27 Fire appliances to cover the London area is far from what isrequired,when Fire strikes it is fast and furious,and appliances need to be there quickly to prevent loss of life,this has notbeen thought through and we should value our firefighters as they go in when others are running out!the new proposed shift system is not helpful for family or other situations as finishing  duties at 20.00hrs leave no time for socialevents etc,there is nothing wrong with the present system,so why try to fix what is not broke.we saw a cut in cover,in Acton,Park Royal and Chiswick all now one appliance stations,at 03.00am with flames licking round your rear its re assuring to know help is not far away,fire appliances manned by fully trained firefighters not the proposed stand in personsnot fit for purpose,lives and property are at stake here and this cover is far from correct.John the Fire.

The Auxilary Fire Service 'Green Goddesses' have all been sold off.But the Fire service is the victim of the wrong people being sent it to run it.Not being sexist, but women of the 'Apprentice candidate' type have been deliberately involved with reshaping the Fire Service to policies set by policymakers who have gender issues with the fire service.They do not like it's macho image and believe it is a pillar of male domination that must be toppled. They do not like the way they operate and cannot understand it.This is, in many ways, true at face value. It does seem like that. But it is a job that until the same said types instigated Health & Safety regulations, that virtually sterilised the firefighters, had people who were always ready to go the extra mile and risk their lives at anytime to go to the aid of others.Much of the HSE regs were to accomodate female firefighters. Who whilst accepted by thier male collegues seldom last more than a few years on watches and soon move to non operational duties or leave. It is a very tough physical job with very odd hours.The meddling has severly damaged the fire service and they have been under attack from all angles, ideology, salaries and working hours.
