Mystery Brentford-Northfields Bus

I keep seeing a bus driving on Northfields Ave that just says 'Brentford-Northfields'. It is ALWAYS empty. Does anyone know what it is/who runs it/why ?

It is the GSK shuttle bus (GSK HQ to Northfields Underground)and it not ALWAYS empty, During morning and evening rush hours it is usually full in one direction though obviously empty on the return journey. However, it is often just carrying one or two people one-way at other times.

My theory is that it is a local eccentric millionaire lottery winner, who always dreamed of being a bus driver.So he bought one, when he got his cheque, and now drives around all day, happy as larry, childhood ambition fulfilled.Minus the passengers, clearly.

Does that mysterious train replacement bus to south London still run once a week?

I had always thought it was part of the TVU campus buses that spend a lot of time all around the streets between campuses. There are also large minibuses seen in lurid colour scheme that serve the Sky complex.Have never seen any formal LSP agreement so presumably these buses will not be serving any bus stops and so dodging the parking enforcement teams
