Hi Mark,I'm glad you are enjoying the Pitshanger life - it truly is a wonderful place to live.We have a very active Community association (PCA) (http://pitshanger.org.uk/) which has around 1,000 or so members covering the 3,000 households. We organise many events every year, including a Party in the Park (June 26th this year) which was last year attended by over 7,000 people and a Christmas Light Up the Lane, where the new lights were this year turned on.There's also various other community driven social events : quiz nights(one of which is next week)/ferret racing !/tea parties/fun runs, to name a few) which we help to organise.We are always looking to add to the army of fantastic volunteers so if you would like to help in any way just let us know. We try and assist the community in any way possible and have a good relationship with various stakeholders (council/police/traders etc..) who all wish Pitshanger to retain its special identity.In addition Walter from the bookstore has setup a mypitshanger campaign. This is a trader led initiative and has proved extremely popular and adds to the enjoyment of the area for both residents and the 70 or so business's which exist on the Lane.Welcome to Pitshanger !
