Elderflower weekend and cordial making - in West Ealing 14th/15th May
The elderflowers in Hanwell/West Ealing are nearly in bloom - and you only need 25 blossom-heads to make around 4pints of delicious cordial which can be diluted with fizzy water and ice to make a special summer drink. West Ealing Neighbours' Abundance project made this very successfully last year (recipe here:http://westealingabundancew13.wordpress.com/2010/06/11/292/ ) and wants to repeat the process as part of their remit to help people turn local free produce into delicious comestibles. We want pickers for this project - but there's more to come as the 'Abundance' season progresses in West Ealing.
