Ealing Common Stop and Shop spaces -bizarre
Some months ago, Ealing council management created a few 30min stop and shop spaces on Leopold Road near Ealing Common Tube station in order that folks could visit the local shops e.g. dry cleaners, local grocery shops, etc. Everyone was pleased, the business owners and the customers. Last week they changed the signs back to permit parking £1.20/hour min. And they changed the signs while cars were parked there and, GUESS WHAT, the cars all got tickets immediately. I was reliably informed by a person of known credibility that when they called the council, the person on the phone was incredibly rude and said she would have to pay anyway. After repeated calls to other people, they finally recinded the ticket but said next time she would have to pay. Does that mean they are going to change the signs back and forth repeatedly? WHAT IS GOING ON WITH OUR NEW LEADERS and their parking restrictions and CPZ which people vote against? BIZARRE.
