Our absent Labour MP

The three of us Northfield Councillors attended a wonderful barbecue on Saturday 6 August at Lindsey House, a delightful residential care home in our area.   The residents expected our MP, Virendra Sharma, to attend.  Maybe he arrived after we left, but we never saw him there.In fact none of us can remember ever seeing him in the Northfields end of his constituency.Has anyone seen him in Northfields?

You know as well as I do that our 'elected representative' (not by me he wasn't) and his predecessor both believe(d) that the eastern border of their constituency is the Iron Bridge. I have never seen Sharma in Hanwell let alone Northfields.Could anyone tell me what, if any, (positive) effect he has had on my neighbourhood?

Perhaps and hopefully the Boundary Commission will see him off. But Northfield could end up under a Hounslow MP. Who is that at the moment?

Mary Macleod (Conservative) MP for Brentford and Isleworth - already has a large constituency.Although elected as part of the swing towards the Conservatives there was a significant ABK "Anyone But Keen" factor.Google Expenses Ann and Alan Keen to see why.

Not only is he unseen.  He is unheard.  At the last election the only one in our house approached to vote for him was our Lodger with an Indian name

I talked with him after the prayer vigil at Ealing Green on Saturday. Also with London's deputy mayor, Mr Barnes.

And I received a letter from him just yesterday, with regards to the take over of SKY and emails over the past few months in regards to the cuts in the NHS.

You must be the only person to get a letter which perhaps is why hie expenses are low.It's time for the local Labour Party to tell this man to represent all his constituents instead of to the west of the river.I refused to vote for a man who took us into war against Iraq. Why should I vote for someone who does not work for all his constituents?

Almost there then, altough I don't recall him being there last year unlike Steve Pound MP - sound chap.Perhaps Mr.Sharma will soon go the extra mile (or 20 yards from Elthorne Park) and actually make it into Northfields Ward.
