Well done volunteers who helped to tidy up

Just wanted to post words of admiration and encouragement - people of Ealing are good people many offer their time talents and skills to the local volunteering opportunities we post to the national volunteering database at www.do-it.org.uk from .  Based at Ealing Lido Community Resource Centre, Volunteer Centre Ealing  responds to approx 150 enquiries a week - we have over 300 local volunteering opportunities available and are working to develop new ones. Please do come and visit us when you have some spare time to offer www.ealingcvs.org.uk/volunteering or drop in between 11 and 3  Monday - Friday If you are a volunteer who lives in London Borough of Ealing  and not enjoying your volunteering please do let Volunteer Centre Ealing know.

I happened to go into the Ealing Broadway / Bond Steet area this morning and was pleasantly surprised how quickly things seemed to have been cleared up.  I was expecting to still see the burnt out remains of cars, etc.  B&O already had a new window in to replace the smashed on, there was some new tarmac on the road where a car had been burned.  Sadly, Carluccio's still has a smashed window and the other shops on that strip that were badly damaged are still boarded up.  Glad to see there has been such a prompt tidy up.
