praise for our lady street cleaner

May I as contrast to the activities of a few yobos praise the lady who keeps our local streets ( Windmill Road and Northfields Avenue) swept and clean. She goes about her work with energy and enthusiasm. Stop occasionally, as I have, and thank her. She deserves it.

Is that the eastern European lady?Is so, she is wonderful. Before Northfields she used to keep Boston Road immaculate and I used to keep her plied with cool drinks in the summer.A lovely lady who takes pride in her work.

I believe she has, quite rightly, received a number of community awards for her diligence.My sister-in-law nominated her once only to find out that she had to join a very long queue of other grateful residents who had beaten her to the punch to sing the praises of the lady street cleaner.
