Donations for Oxfam Ealing to replenish stock following Riots
In the recent London riots, the local Oxfam Music shop in Ealing was the only one of 700 Oxfam shops in the country to be broken into and looted by rioters. Oxfam have emailed us and estimated a financial loss of approximately £40,000 due to loss of stock, loss of several weeks’ takings and structural repairs needed. As a result of this, effectively £40,000 won’t be going to strife-torn East Africa. In order to help the shop get back on their feet we will be organising a collection at our next gig of CD’s, DVD’s and any other music items. Any donations will be much appreciated and go towards a great cause. If people are unable to attend the event in person, but would still like to contribute, we can provide direct contact details for Oxfam. The gig, and collection, is Yearbook, Barely Modern and Control at The Kings Head in Acton on Friday 2nd September. Doors at 7pm and the gig costs £4 before 8pm (or with an Oxfam donation) and £5 after. http://www.wegottickets.com/event/127452More information here http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=169367823131669
