Former pub in Coningsby Road W5 5HD - Anyone know what it was called?

I wonder if any of the older Forum readers would be able to tell me the name of the pub which has been long closed and which is located at number 1, Coningsby Road in South Ealing? It looks as if it has been converted into flats or a house at some point but I was wondering if it was still open as a pub in living memory.Does anybody know?

I don't remember it being open in the 50s,but I'm fairly sure it was called the Lord (Earl?) Conningsby. Probably named after the novel by Disraeli along with Venetia and Lothair Roads.

I have a couple of old Kemp's street directories and the 1961 one shows it a flats (or at least multiple tenants).

In 1911...No 1 Coningsby Road was a cafe ("dining rooms")according to Kelly's directory of that year.

Perhaps the prominent No.65 at the opposite end of Coningsby towards Alacross, formerly an off-licence until about 1990. Mrs Thorns was a beer retailer at this address in 1896 and Mrs Davis in 1935 (Kelly`s). I remember there being an off-licence in Connisby in the 1960's and 70's, when I lived in that area. Think there is also view of it in the old b/w film Carry on Constable, much of which was shot around that area.

No 1 is to do with false teeth; No 2 opposite is the English Chamber Orchestra.  Those are both at junction with Church Lane.  No 65 used to be an off-licence. I think they are all W5 4HP.  The road changes name as it goes around the corner.  It is often marked incorrectly on maps.
