apologies if you think I am scaremongering, and yes after researching on google it says there have been no deaths. However, on the one show on Monday, filmed in Ealing, it did say that very very rarely it can cause a life threatening condition and if not protected and you touch the caterpillars or their hair you could in extreme cases have a life threatening anaphylactic shock. Which my mother nearly died of last year. Thank god she didn't. Maybe you could complain to the BBC for scaremongering. Sorry again.
