More on double glazing issues

We have 2 broken handles/locks on our windows - does anyone know if it's easy to replace or repair them? Thanks

YepuPVC or aluminium? If the former check that the frame has not been damaged. Just be careful not to cross-thread the screws when putting them back. A quarter turn of the screw anti-clockwise before screwing it home 'seats' it properly. On uPVC windows the screws go into either a plate or an insert in the frame, if you cross-thread this it's a swine to disassemble and replace.Don't let that put you off though, replacing handles, often with a more secure type, is a really easy job.
