Luckhurst's

I thought this was meant to be back. It closed with the building works on the new hotel but I thought it was coming back.  Does anyone know whether it is? It would be a real shame if it had gone for good.

I miss Tony.The building work is soooo slow that Tony may well be past retirement age before they finish.A great shame.

The last time I asked Dean at the flower stall he seemed to think that because the work was taking so long the guys had all found work elsewhere and would be unlikely to return. It really is a shame if that's the case.

Yes! still can't lie in bed on a Sunday haha old habits..I can thoroughly recommend Hook & Cleaver for spring lamb, the owner is a friend of mine and a good butcher. It's great to see young butchers giving it their best!I'm currently working in Fisher's in Gerrards Cross, Bucks. Well, the hotel construction seems to be progressing well. But the question remains, will Luckhursts be back?One would think that the developers would get the retail units completed as soon as possible and get some tenants in to generate a bit of income, while the internal fit out of the upper floors continues.Anyone know?

I have heard a rumour that Tony Luckhurst has been appointed as Butcher to the Royal Household - at Windsor perhaps?  And therefore will not be returning to West Ealing.Anyone have further information on this?

Sadly, now that the hoarding has come down it is clear that the hotel has made no provision for Luckhurst's to return. I somehow missed it, but a planning variation approved over the summer paved the way for this. Ref. No ButcherNo BetfredWhats next for the chop (sorry).Is the flower stall safe ? who knows.The departure from the initial planning permission is rather significant and maybe it should have triggered a new public consultation.Maybe the hotel never wanted the ground dloor retail units,who knows ?.The hotel entrance has also been moved,so whats next ?.Who knows.
