June 8, 2026
A man has died following a collision on the A40 slip road at the Target Roundabout in Northolt on Sunday afternoon (7 June).
Emergency services were called at 4.57pm after reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a car. Police, the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended, but despite the efforts of medics the man, believed to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
A 20-year-old man, alleged to have been driving a blue BMW M4 involved in the collision, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing death while uninsured. He remains in police custody.
Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage. Officers believe the collision may have taken place at around 4.30pm, shortly before the emergency call was made.
Detective Inspector Fiaz Janjua said the investigation team was working to establish the full circumstances. “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the victim of this tragic incident,” he said. “As we try to build up a full picture of what happened, we want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has any relevant information — particularly anyone with CCTV or dash-cam footage.”
Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting CAD 5115/07JUNE26, or contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit witness line on 020 7960 8044. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
