LOST BOXER DOG

Lost 5p.m. Sat 16 May on Grand Union towpath between Brentford and Hanwell, near Osteley Lock/Elthorne Park. Brown with white chest and some white toes, black face, short tail. Very friendly and bouncy. Black nylon collar, no tag but microchipped (vets can scan her). Scar on right front "wrist". Registered lost with Battersea Dogs Home. Bus lanes to be reopened

Good to hear that bus lanes in Northolt are to be opened up in non peak hours. Hoew about doing the same to the 24hr bus lane running from Ealing Common to Acton. Never understood why it's 24hrs..madness.

"Hello, Dolly!" at Questors Theatre This Week

Furtive final rehearsals now taking place for Gloc Musical Theatre’s forthcoming production of “Hello, Dolly!” to be performed at The Questors Theatre, Ealing on May 20th to 23rd of this year.Songs from the show have recently seen a revival following the most recent hit Disney-Pixar animation, “Wall-E”.  In the movie, Wall-E, a waste management robot in a post-apocalyptic world, becomes obsessed with an old video of the 1964 film.  He watches the musical numbers ‘Put On Your Sunday Clothes’ and ‘It Only Takes a Moment’, both from the 1964 Broadway hit, repeatedly and they become the introduction to human emotions that make him want to go ‘Out There’ and meet a girl.‘Hello, Dolly!’ opens on Wednesday 20th and runs until Saturday 23rd May.  Tickets available online at www.questors.org.uk or by calling The Questors Theatre box office on 0208 567 5184 (Mon-Fri 11am to 1pm, Tuesday-Friday 6.45 to 8.30pm) priced £15 (£12 conc.).  An amateur production.

Looking for car share into London

Hello.We have just moved to the area and are wondering if anyone drives into the centre of London during the week? We have a car but  my partner would rather share a lift for a quicker/more comfortable routine than going by tube! He is happy to pay for petrol of course. Dentists

Can anyone out there recommend a dentist in Ealing to carry out root canal/crown work?  With NHS dental work now virtually non-existant it seems choosing the right dentist can be a hit-and-miss affair.  Oris Dental in The Broadway have an informative website (including fees), but no reviews or comments to be found.  Please help, my tooth hurts.

Hello. I am trying to find somewhere which sells cheap rugs. All the main stores such as Allied carpets, Habitat, John lewis, even Ikea! ....etc are very expensive. I was wondering if there are any discount stores selling old stock or independent shops that stock cheaper rugs around Ealing?

Muslim Children

SalaamMuslim children have been attending state schools for tha last 60 years. They have been suffering from Paki-bashing and bullying. Majority of them have been leaving schools with low grades. They have been leaving schools without learning their cultural and linguistic skiils. The result is that they do not know where they belong. They suffer from Identity crises. Now Muslim youths are victim of terrorism. Thousands of them are being searched in streets and hundreds of them are behind the bar without any trial. Bilingual Muslim children need state funded Muslim schools with bilingual Muslim teachers as role models during their developmental periods. There is no place for a non-Muslim child or a teacher in a Muslim school. There are hundreds of state and church schools where Muslim children are in majority. In my opinion, all such schools may be designated as Muslim community schools. Bilingual Muslim children need to learn and be well versed in standard English to follow the National Curriculum and go for higher studies and research to serve humanity. At the same time, they need to learn and be well versed in Arabic, Urdu and other community languages to keep in touch with their cultural roots and enjoy the beauty of their literature and poetry.A Muslim is a citizen of this tiny global village. Isabella Plantation in Richmond park - beautiful!

I went to see the Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park today. It is stunningly beautiful at the moment with the azaleas and rhododendrons in flower. I suggest you all go & see it.

HEALING ON MONDAY

This coming Monday is the 2nd Monday of the month again so the healers will be at the London Buddhist Vihara, The Avenue, W4 1UD between 11am and 1pm ready to welcome and give healing to anyone who turns up.  Healing helps any condition, through from stress to physical illness.  The healing takes about 20 minutes.  There is no charge made for the healing (all the healers are working on a voluntary basis, however, a donation is most welcome- all donations are given to the Vihara).No appointment necessary, waiting time, if any, is 5-10 minutes.  For any further information please give me a ring on 0788 189 6449.

Is this the beginning of the end... ...of  Route E8?

On the front page of Ealing Today an article regarding hybrid buses on route E8.I quote from part of the article :Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, said: “... Londoners that travel on buses with the green leaf livery can rest comfortably in their seats and enjoy clear environmental consciences; safe in the knowledge that their journey will guzzle far less fuel and expire a whopping forty per cent less carbon dioxide than a regular bus...”Can any bus be decked (pun?) with green leaf transfers and called environmentally friendly (coz it looks nicer)? In which case paint them in urban camouflage colours so we can't see them.Does this mean more seats will be available on the bus? Difficult unless the buses are double deck or articulated.Does this mean that the route E8 timetable is to be scrapped or at least become erratic? Buses will only running when there are sufficient queues at bus stops.There are others questions but I'll leave it at three for the moment.

Stage 22 High School Musical - Auditions are now open

We are holding auditions for our current show High School Musical.There are many parts to audition for particularly 'Troy Bolton' 'Brainiacs' 'Wild Cats' and more. So if you are between the age of 7yrs and above and would like to learn or develop your skills in acting, singing and dancing then join us.We will be performing in regional festivals leading up to our main performance in September, performing to a public audience. Stage 22 classes are on Saturday's from 10am - 12pm, every week at Hanwell Community Centre.
