What's the point of the Brexitometer in Ealing?

While I completely on board with the aims of the European Movement it has to be said that bringing their 'Brexitometer' to Ealing again seems totally pointless. Very few people in the area were willing to show support for Brexit last time by placing a sticker in the appropriate place and even fewer will now as more and more negative consequences of leaving the EU become apparent. Rather than wasting their time in places like Ealing and Chiswick where we already know what people think they should go to places like Romford that voted in favour. If people there now mainly thought Brexit was a bad idea that should give us all pause for thought.

No to 5G

i had no idea they wanted to build a 20 metre high 5G mast in Blondin park , i have spent a lot of time looking into the issue of 5G and my conclusions are that it is not safe , Lloyds for example will not insure against any risks associated with it. regardless of that there has been zero public consultation about this military grade  technology rollout npo can anybody explain who exactly is paying for it as it does not actually meet any actual public requirement , the fact that these horrifc eyesores were erected all over the world at exactly the same times as the public were locked up due to the alleged Covd pandemic is another reason for suspicion , why was this unusual technology give  priority , in may area ugly masts have been erected between Pitshanger and Cleveland Park and i saw NO consultation documents or requests for local residents feedback , anyway I am far from alone in my opposition to this Franeknstein tech a recent consultation document for Blondin had 189 objections and ONE  in suppor lol . i daresay Andy Jones will add his name to the 5g supporters list in due course but the rest of us need to say a resounding NO https://pam.ealing.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?keyVal=Q7P015JMJGZ00&activeTab=summary

Islamic Prayer at Ealing Council

i saw a video where Ealing Council chambers are being used for Islamic prayer , odd since many Mosques are nearby in my opinion Council chambers should only be used for council work and not for religious ceremonies of any kind

Somewhere tfl's priorities are a bit jumbled. As I go into the office twice a week I listen to the traffic bulletins on the local radio stations. Plenty of cancellations due to a shortage of drivers, lack of trains and stations closed owing to a lack of staff. Ealing is a toxic brand

Yesterday’s by-election was triggered by the resignation of Labour councillor Lewis Cox amid ructions following Ealing’s vexed leadership election in May. Cox did not mince his words, calling Ealing Labour a “toxic brand” and describing “a system very much based on patronage, back-room deals and cronyism”. It was not an ideal way for the incumbent party to start the defence of the seat.who disagrees with that assessment ? not me

Is this ok?

I recently had a remote hearing at Brentford County court , Ealing Council won £1600 based upon their claim taht there is no law that requires the council to respond to a local resident . this means that according to the judge absolutely NOBODY has any actual right to a response regardles sof the topic . i regard this as a denial of basic justice . after the hearing I went online and discovered that the Judge Michael Shelton was a co religionist of the Councils lawyer and indeed the leader of Ealing Council . I am no legal expert but where there are significant political and religious links I would have thought it would be prudent to avoid any possibility of favouritism. I had emailed the editor of Ealing today but got no reply . Ealing Council have all kinds of stated policies on treating residents with respect that they violate , the new leader Peter Mason ( he probably is) claimed that his administration would be open and transparent and that is absolutely not the case . The council have an exprert legal team and very warm relations with Brentford Court , i have submitted a FOI request to ask what percentage of Ealings court cases are won and lost . in my opinion the small claims court should be a simple straightforward method for average people to get justice but in reality it is a minefield of corruption, legalese, jargon , how the hell can I who brought the case because i have been IGNORED for 6 years be given costs to the wealthy council of £1600 in the SMALL CLAIMS COURT based upon the idea that no law is actually some sort of law and using obscure civil procedure rules . so far a couple of people have been helpful but i am determined not to allow Ealing Council to get away with this and you should help me because the idea that teh council can legally ignore us must be absolutely unacceptable in a so called democracy and that there must be no overt links between the politicians and the judges as was in this case , you are welcome to call me on 07396534522 Paul

Spanner in the works-High Lane Estate

Rydon, the company chosed by Ealing Council to carry out the regeneration of the High Lane Estate in Hanwell, has been blocked from the government's Help to Buy loan scheme with immediate effect (16 December).The new development was to have 550 flats replacing the 250 that currently exist and of those 550 only 142 were to be social rented. I'm wondering if that makes this scheme now unviable. It's an awful estate but I was surprised Ealing chose Rydon as they were the ones involved in Grenfell (and they were chosen after the fire).

Anyone got any idea why the Planning Inspectorate seems to hate Ealing Council?

On the rare occasions when LBE has "Refused" a Planning Application, every case I can recall LBE have been overruled by the PI on Appeal and the application "Granted"This seems to me far more than sheer coincidence because the instances I am aware of the Council's decision was 100% correct to "Refuse"ISTM that the Planning Inspectorate may have it in for Ealing Borough which is not good at all for us put upon residents suffering relentless and hideous overdevelopment.Anyone got any inkling of what might be going on?

Hanwell Station seems to have disappeared from GWR timetable/maps (which are no longer published in paper/booklet form, I believe?).Is the station now 'owned' (administered) by TfL?

Ealing Council awarded £1600 costs against me

ok guys very few of you seem to give a toss but anyway , I have just concluded a remote hearing with Brentford County Court , the court agreed with Ealing Council that they do not have any statutory duty to respond to local ratepayers and residents , this means that Ealing Council are free to ignore all local residents at their sole discretion REGARDLESS of the issues , you however are not allowed to not pay rates . so we have a legal one way street . i am going to apply for a transcript, in my opinion the district judge was partisan . i draw your attention to the stated policies of Ealing Council that claim they will treat people with respect , despite that these nice sounding words are actually totally without meaning . Do you think being ignored is being treated with respect ? i think the entire judicial process is bentDo you accept that there has to be a law requiring ealing to respond? that makes no sense at all. There is also no law saying Ealing Council must not respond Ealing Council spent a lot of money fighting me, whats more Ealing Council denied my Subject Access request for emails , asking for 3 months rather than the standard 1 month even though emails are simple to retrieve where do I go from here as I really cant stand Ealing Council and do not see how they can be allowed to get away with it

Ealing Council Update

on November 2nd I contacted the Council asking for my emails via a Subject Access Request , the rules normally give the council 1 calendar month to comply. The council have now informed me that they need 3 months to complete this every simple task considering I have a remote hearing on Thursday i am unable to present the  court my evidence , do you think its acceptable that the council can give themselves more than 3 calendar months to complete such a straightforward request especially when the evidence is required for a court case ?

LTN49 - anyone have any news?

I know LTN’s are the worst thing to post about, so my post is not pro or against just simply does anyone have any more information.LTN49 (Hamilton Road rat run) is posted on Ealing council website but the info there is out of date. I believe the plans have changed (possibly to a timed no entry rather than just 24 hour no entry.  I picked this up from recent council minutes but there was no detail just a vague reference to it having been redesigned. Does anyone have any more info on either what the new scheme will be or when it will be implemented (as I believe it has been approved for delivery)?

Active LTN. Behind Gold's Gym.

Thurs 25 Nov 2021. St George's Road, Hanwell. It rather looks like motorised vehicles (with the exception of 'permit holders') are now (once again) prohibited from going through the road restriction at the rear of Gold's Gym, Hanwell W7.Road signs indicate 'no through road'. And signs declaring 'DIS 50' are in place.  And an active camera is in place.Can anybody confirm the situation?
